About Us

ITC is an agent, importer and distributor of pharmaceutical products, surgical sutures, orthopedic supports, medical compression stockings and many other Hospital disposable products. The company started in 1980 as paramedical agent for companies providing Hospital supplies. Later on, ITC acquired more specific agencies for surgical suture from Davis & Geck (U.S.A), Sherwood Medical industries (U.K.) for chest drainage products and another agency for vaccine products from American Cyanamid Co. In fact, above agencies contributed a lot to building the reputation of ITC in the Egyptian pharmaceutical market and Hospitals. ITC then moved to acquire other reputable agencies for Lederlee Parentrals.

Wyeth manufacturing UK. (Tazocin)+Hibtiter Vaccine and other paramedical manufacturers from Germany, Spain, UK and Holland. ITC is also taking advantages of its distribution fleet to distribute quite a good number of pharmaceutical products for companies such as Wyeth Egypt, Schering plough & Organon as well as for local manufacturer such as Sedico, Nile, U.G.P and others. ITC Business plan is based on developing vision and mission statements for the company to act as strategic motivators for managements and stuff to carry out a number of short to medium term objectives that were with the company management in the light of the situational analysis conducted and recommendations developed accordingly during the making of the business plan. ITC strategy to achieve business plan objectives necessitates undergoing an incremental change initiated by the Presiden and implemented by the whole company staff. The company will carry out structural and cultural people changes aiming at better effectiveness and efficiency of current business operations and company performance.

ITC objectives are as follows:

1-Evaluate customer satisfaction of services rendered by ITC in relation to sales and distribution of different products. (Cold Chain Products Specifically)

2-Assess profitability and import on sales of distribution for other local agents and manufacturers.

3-Focus on products yielding a high economic value added to the company through participating in most of the Governmental and University tenders in addition to the direct orders of Private Hospitals.

4-Evaluate impact, effectiveness and value added of using wholesales distributors besides the company regular distribution activities.

5-Allow for decentralization and more participation in management through careful delegation and accountability.

6-Develop a comprehensive system of policies and procedures as to various human resources related to ITC activities such as performance appraisal, salary increases, successive planning, training and development.

7-Develop and upgrade the existing human resources within the company in a comprehensive awareness, attitude and skills upgrading process.

8-Carry out training and skills upgrading plan for various management levels within the company.

9-Recently ITC has signed an agreement with Bureau Verities (BVQI) for upgrading of Quality Documented System and Certification of ISO 9001/2000 Version which hopefully will be acquired during the 2nd Quarter of 2011.

Dr. Said is the sole owner / founder and General Manager of ITC. He is graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in 1973, practiced medical sales and promotion for about seven years until 1980 when he decided to establish his private business initiative, ITC. Afterwards, Dr. Said took his MBA from American University in Cairo (AUC).
